Last modified: July 14, 2024
All sales are final. No refunds, regardless of weather or anything else. Like always, rules can change. All updates will be made to this list. Stay on top of things.
The hunt will only take place in the county that it is listed for.
It is not required to be a professor in history, but knowing a bit of a county's history may be beneficial.
If stumped, all clues are accessible via public information at no charge.
The first set of clues for the $5,000 Ozaukee County Treasure Hunt will be released at 10 A.M. on September 01, 2024.
If after seven (7) days have passed and the treasure has not been found, a new clue(s) will be released. And will continue every seven (7) days until found.
Only the purchaser of the entry will be allowed access to the clues.
The purchaser will receive a link and a code via email before the start of the hunt where the clues will be listed. The purchaser is not to share this link or code with any other person.
The treasure marker will NOT be located:
on private property
in any body of water such as a lake, pond, river, or creek, nor will it be located within fifty (50) feet of said bodies of water
directly along or in any road or street
no more than ten (10) feet off the ground
no more than two (2) inches if buried in the ground
NO shovels are needed
A metal detector will be of no use
You take full responsibility and liability for your own actions.
"Obey all local laws" includes traffic laws. We take safety and the safety of those around you seriously.
Do NOT use your phone while driving! Focus on the road and obey the law while one of your teammates helps navigate you safely to each location.
The treasure marker will consist of a QR Code.
ONLY the purchaser of an entry can claim the $5,000 by scanning the QR Code and following the instructions provided by the QR Code link.
IF the QR Code is found by a non-purchaser, this individual will not receive any form of payout. If this is the case, a new QR Code marker will be placed at the location of the original marker.
Upon final verification of a winner and payout has been made, all answers to clues will be posted online.
